Increasingly kelp, Seaweed & Algae is now used as a Nutritional
Supplements and used in an attempt to Prevent the development of Chronic
Disease.
In an publication of the World Health Organisation in 1990 the
attention was once again focused on this new chronic disease.
Comparisons of population groups had demonstrated a close and
consistent relationship between the adoption of this affluent diet/change in
lifestyle and the emergence of a range of chronic, non-infectious diseases,
such as coronary heart disease, cerebrovascular disease, various cancers,
diabetes mellitus, gallstones, dental caries (cavities), gastrointestinal
disorders, and various bone and joint diseases.

There is no real cure for these
chronic illnesses and take a long time to develop.
Silent killers, but before killing reducing the victim to a deprive
state of existence, depending on others for medication and care
Because the origin is man-made, caused by changes in lifestyle and
food production the establishment not ready make the necessary changes
needed.

It is a major part of or modern economy and as such at the hart of it.
The changes needed would affect many at the top and middle part of the ladder,
and as such carries a lot of weight as
far as ability to influence politics decisions.
In any known profit-driven economy, health considerations are hardly a
priority other than lip-service. Because of the fact that it is 100% man-made,
gigantic interests depending on it for their income and wealth, the system very
slow to act.
First denial of the situation, lying and discrediting the critics and
now the health care crisis. No longer able to pay for the care, in fact near
collapse, and a burden difficult to carry,
prepared to have a new and closer look. But without a Fundamental change
at the hart of society and the fact that at currently at least 200,000,000
people are already people affected.
The number just add-up the number of people who are sick of and with
one of diseases as mentioned by the
World Health Organisation or died as result of the chronic disease.
Japan which is a major industrial develop nation but affected to a
lesser extend by the disease which is contributed to the difference in diet and
use of seaweed on a regular basis.

Because the mineral content of sea
kelp/vegetables is that high, it might be at the root of most of their healing properties. Several
theories have been put forth to explain the ability of seaweed to reduce heart
disease and hypertension but the high mineral content of seaweed, particularly
potassium, calcium, sodium, and chloride could be the answer.
